Our oceans are choking with plastic waste. As a brand from the tropical island, we see it every day and it’s devastating. We simply have to come up with more sustainable ways to repurpose the plastic that is already in circulation as well as using more and more of eco-friendly biodegradeable raw materials.
Here at Velentiago, we care about making the world a better place and we know that every single one of us plays a part in doing so. We strive to pave the way for a better future, one that consumes less, and gives back more. That’s why we follow sustainability initiatives when making our frames and packaging. Through the use of recycled and eco-friendly materials, we are committed to making great eyewear, with a small impact.
HOW ARE OUR PRODUCTS SUSTAINABLE?
The pinnacle collections of VELENTIAGO have been made using a premium,eco-friendly material: Bio-Acetate. It is recognized by international standards and regulationsas bio-based in a percentage range between a minimum of 50% to a maximum of 68%.The bio-based components of Velentiago’s Bio-Acetate derive from renewable sources (such as fibers from seeds and woods).The Bio-Acetate parts of the frames are also 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable.
